/in Uncategorized /by lsanbornDear Parents and Guardians,
We are extremely excited to offer a new opportunity open to students here at Swampscott Middle School. This new program, known as Win Block, allows students to choose from two dozen learning groups based on their own unique passions and interests.
Win Block will take place during Advisory (8:05-8:35) on every Wednesday morning from December 12th to March 13th. While Win Block will not be graded, we do expect a full attendance commitment once a student enrolls.
Students who are currently enrolled in Band or Chorus during this time are expected to honor that commitment.
We are hopeful that this enrichment opportunity has something to offer everyone, knowing that all of our students possess such a diverse array of interests, talents, and skill sets.
Students are encouraged to sign up for this unique opportunity. However, students who would rather stay in a regular Advisory block will be able to do so.
Sign-ups for Win Block will close on Friday, Dec 7th at 2:00 pm. Students may choose from our list of offerings below.
For optimum benefit, we will limit enrollment.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jason Calichman, M.Ed
Principal, SMS
