Transportation (Bus information)

All children in grades kindergarten through six who reside more than two miles walking distance from their school are entitled to school bus transportation.  If you live over 2.0 miles walking distance from your school, and would like to register for the bus, email sesbus@swampscott.k12.ma.us to apply for the bus at the Elementary School or msbus@swampscott.k12.ma.us  to apply for the bus at the Middle School (grades 5 & 6).

Please allow for traffic delays and other incidents that may cause pickups and drop offs before or after the designated times.  For the first week, please arrive at the stop 10 minutes early and wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled times.  After the first week, the times should be more consistent but we still recommend getting to the bus stop early.

Swampscott Elementary School recommends that a parent or guardian be present at the bus stop to pick up their child after school.
