Winter After School Program Registration Now Open!
Classes begin the week of January 22. Eleven classes and clubs to choose from!

The eight-week Fall session runs through March 23rd. All classes start at $60.
There is no fee to pay by credit card, but if you want to pay by cash or check, print the attached registration form and return it to school with your payment. There is a print button on the form. Paper forms are also available in the office. Registration forms and payment are due back to school by 3pm Wednesday, September 20th.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be here in two weeks. It is a chance for you to do some holiday shopping for your children and for your child’s classrooms. The money raised allows the PTO to get new books for the school library and for classroom libraries. We appreciate your support.
Also, a Sign-Up Genius will be available soon so you can sign up to volunteer at the fair. The online dates are December 1 through December 14th and the link is scholastic.com/fair
**Please Note: Online orders will not arrive in time for the holidays.
The in-person fair will be as follows:
Monday, December 11th from 8:15-3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 12th from 8:15-4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 13th from 8:15-3:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 14th from 8:15-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Classroom Visits Schedule:
Grade 5: Monday, December 11th (preview date on Friday, December 8th, no buying)
Grade 6: Wednesday, December 13th (preview date on Thursday, December 7th, no buying)
Grade 7: Tuesday, December 12th
Grade 8: Thursday, December 14th
Please send cash or a check in with your child. Checks can be made out to SMS PTO. Taxes will be applied to purchased at a 6.25% rate. You can leave the amount bland and note maximum allowed on the check.

Parent/Guardian conferences are scheduled for the following days:
December 7, 2017 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
December 12, 2017 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
December 14, 2017` ` 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Sign-ups will be online beginning Monday, November 27th at 6:00 pm. The parent/guardian/teacher conference website is located on the Middle School website (https://middle.swampscottps.org/) under RESOURCES then FOR FAMILIES. Please be sure to include your child’s name when signing up.
Conferences are ten minutes each. Grades 6, 7 and 8 teachers are meeting in two pairs. If you want to see all of your child’s teachers, sign up for two slots, one for each pair of teachers. If you would like Guidance or a resource teacher to attend one of your meetings, there will be a space where you can note that during the sign-ups. Additionally, specialists will be in the gym and enrichment teachers will be in Room 123 to meet with you before or after your conference, if you are interested in speaking with them.
